You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, gain exposure to real-world response environments, and contribute to work that directly supports the safety of our people, customers, and communities.About the Role:We are looking for an Emergency Management & Business Resilience Advisor to lead and support the delivery and enhancement of emergency preparedness, business continuity, and organizational resilience programs for ATCO Energy Systems.In this role,
you will play an important part in ensuring teams are prepared to respond effectively to emergencies and business disruptions while supporting safe, reliable, and resilient operations.What You’ll Do:Lead and support the delivery and continuous improvement of emergency management, business continuity, and resilience programsConduct hazard, risk, vulnerability, and business impact analysesPlan, coordinate, and support emergency exercises, including design, facilitation, and evaluationSupport emergency response activities, including participation in real incidents, which may involve extended or non-standard hours and travel as requiredProvide guidance during incidents, including support with Incident Command System (ICS) processes and coordination effortsCollaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders to strengthen program effectivenessMaintain and enhance emergency and continuity plans, tools, and documentationMonitor performance, report on program effectiveness, and identify opportunities for improvementParticipate in working groups, incident teams, and industry forums as a program representativeWhat You Bring:Diploma or degree in Emergency Management, Business Resilience, Public Safety, Risk Management, or a related field5+ years of experience in emergency management,
business continuity, or a related discipline (e.G., safety, risk, project management, or planning)Familiarity with EMBR and GIS toolsStrong understanding of emergency management, business resilience, regulatory requirements, and best practicesExperience supporting or responding to emergency or business continuity eventsExperience facilitating training, exercises, or workshopsICS instructor certification or additionalICS training is an assetProfessional certifications (e.G., ABCP, AEM, BCI or equivalent) is an assetCompletion of Incident Command System (ICS) 300 is an assetAbout Us:We build communities, energize industries, and deliver essential services that create possibilities for generations to come.
