Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hardscape Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting with the installation and finishing of outdoor hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other masonry elements. Your energetic approach and commitment to quality will help bring landscape visions to life while ensuring safety and efficiency on-site.

This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills in construction, masonry, and site preparation within a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, setting up tools, and organizing materials for hardscape projects
- Use hand tools and power tools to lay bricks, pavers, stone, or concrete elements according to project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation of hardscape features
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for site grading or material transportation
- Mix and pour concrete, ensuring proper forming and finishing techniques are applied for durable outdoor structures
- Support carpentry tasks such as framing or form building for concrete pours and retaining walls
- Maintain a clean work environment by tidying tools and equipment regularly and adhering to safety protocols

Skills

- Ability to read blueprints,



schematics, and construction plans with attention to detail
- Proficiency with hand tools (trowels, hammers, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws) used in masonry and construction
- Experience with concrete forming, finishing, and pouring techniques
- Knowledge of masonry principles including bricklaying, stone setting, and tile laying
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as skid steers or mini-excavators is a plus
- Basic understanding of electrical systems related to outdoor lighting or fixtures is advantageous
- Skills in carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work can enhance project versatility
- Ability to read schematics for various systems involved in restoration or outdoor installations
- Experience with caulking, welding, flooring installation or cabinetry is beneficial but not required
- Strong physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions
