Join Somerset West Community Health Centre as a Needle Exchange and Safer Inhalation Harm Reduction Outreach Worker. Help improve health outcomes for people who use drugs through proactive engagement and trauma-informed services. As a Counsellor Level 2, you will be a critical part of the NESI program aimed at reducing the transmission of HIV and Hepatitis through harm reduction.

Your role will include crisis response, advocacy, and coordinating follow-ups for clients in various settings. You’ll work closely with interdisciplinary teams while participating in community education and support initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

- Engage proactively with people who use drugs
- Distribute harm reduction and safer inhalation supplies




- Provide trauma-informed care and crisis support
- Collaborate with community agencies for client health
- Document interactions and enter program data accurately Requirements:
- Three years’ experience with high-risk populations
- Post-secondary education or relevant lived experience
- Fluency in English, French an asset
- Solid knowledge of STBBI and harm reduction strategies
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively Uplift the health and well-being of vulnerable communities through your expertise in harm reduction and client care.
