Head Flyman – Part-Time / Contract

Versatile, Part-Time / Contract Basis

Head Flyman to join our technical crew on a part-time or contract basis. The successful candidate will have proven experience with theatrical rigging systems and a strong commitment to safety and professionalism. This position offers flexibility for individuals not currently engaged in full-time employment and who are available to work on a project-by-project basis .

Oversee the safe operation of all fly systems during rehearsals, performances, and technical runs.

Coordinate rigging and movement of scenic elements, lighting, and other flown equipment.

Work closely with the Technical Director and Production Manager to execute rigging plans.

Must not be employed in a full-time position elsewhere.

as per Ontario theatre and workplace safety standards: Strong knowledge of safety procedures and rigging protocols.

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.





and access to a vehicle for travel to various venues. (Bonus!).

Experience in theatres.

Familiarity with stage management and production processes.
