Responsibilities:
- Ensure all lessons are of the highest quality and meet Zion Taekwondo standards
- Prepare and deliver and/or oversee the delivery of lessons
- Maintain student records and ensure all students are engaged and progressing appropriately
- Maintain a positive and skilled image in and outside of the gym and social media
- Ensure the facility is clean
- Meet or exceed club retention goals as set with club directors
- Administer belt testing
- Help with social media posting
- Inventory check and ordering supplies
- Curriculum development input
- Provide information of the program to clients
- registering members in our management software
- Mentor instructors, assistant instructors, and volunteers
- Schedule instructors and maintain time sheets for payroll each month
- Organize and supervise camps, in-club tournaments, and other special events
- Coach students and athletes at tournaments
Requirements:
- Strong communication and people skills
- Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Problem-solving skills
- Customer service orientation
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Minimum Kukkiwon 4 dan
- Dojang Coach certified (Performance Coach certification preferred)
- NCCP Comp-Dev certification an asset
- Minimum of 5 years Taekwondo teaching experience
- Experience managing, or assisting with the management of, a Taekwondo dojang is a plus
- First Aid with CPR-C certification
- Must provide criminal record check including Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS). Successful candidates will be provided with assistance in obtaining a VSS if required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
