(Health, Safety, and Environment) Assistant

Location:

27 MacDonald Road, Whitehorse, Yukon, Y1A 4L1.

Duties

- Assist with Health, Safety and Environment tasks including inspections; hazard assessments; communication of secure work practices and procedures; distribution, inspection and ensuring proper use of PPE; reporting vehicle damage.
- Help train all personnel in the safe work procedures and practices outlined in the OHSMS.
- Prepare supplies and safety documentation for the machines in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements include:

- Valid driver’s license and clear drivers abstract and insurance history
- 1-2 years experience driving in all weather conditions.
- Drug and alcohol free. (Pre-employment drug test required)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and web applications.
- Ability to switch between tasks as priorities change. (Admin & outdoor work)
- Knowledge of Yukon HSE regulations an asset.
- Maintain up-to-date safety documentation.
