We are seeking an experienced Healthcare QA Lead to support a complex healthcare technology modernization initiative. The successful candidate will lead both functional and automated testing activities across enterprise healthcare applications, interoperability platforms, integrations, APIs, video technologies, identity workflows, and release readiness processes.
This role requires strong leadership capabilities combined with hands-on expertise in test automation, API validation, healthcare interoperability standards, system integrations, and quality assurance best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain overall test strategy, test plans, schedules, test scenarios, test cases, automation approaches, and execution plans.
Lead manual functional testing and automated regression testing across frontend, backend, API, integration, and end-to-end workflows.
Design, build, maintain, and execute automated tests using Playwright for regression coverage, smoke testing, release validation, and critical user journeys.
Develop and execute API test suites using Postman and vREST for REST APIs, FHIR APIs, interoperability workflows, integration endpoints, and backend services.
Lead testing activities related to legacy application modernization and replacement initiatives.
Execute testing for video workflow capabilities, including virtual meeting integrations, participant management, waiting rooms, session management, and multi-party workflows.
Plan and execute testing for healthcare interoperability workflows involving HL7v2, FHIR APIs, FHIR Subscriptions, SMART on FHIR, and integration engine processing.
Validate event-driven workflows, subscription notifications, endpoint delivery, payload validation, authorization controls, and downstream processing.
Validate authentication, authorization, identity management workflows, and role-based access controls.
Coordinate functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, accessibility, performance, security, privacy, user acceptance, implementation readiness, and release-readiness testing activities.
Create and maintain requirements traceability matrices to ensure business, technical, security, accessibility, operational, and integration requirements are fully tested.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
Lead defect triage meetings and provide reporting on quality metrics, release risks, testing progress, automation coverage, and readiness recommendations.
Collaborate with development and integration teams to support testing, automation, data preparation, and production validation activities.
Prepare test summary reports, automation reports, implementation validation plans, release readiness assessments,
and knowledge transfer documentation.
Support production implementation activities, post-release validation, and warranty support activities.
Required Qualifications
Must-Have Experience
Senior-level Test Lead experience on complex application modernization, integration, healthcare, or digital service initiatives.
Experience developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, execution reporting, defect reporting, automation reporting, and release readiness recommendations.
Hands-on functional testing experience involving React applications, Java/Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, backend services, and database-driven applications.
Solid automated testing expertise using Playwright, including UI automation, debugging, execution management, regression testing, and CI/CD integration.
Hands-on API testing experience using Postman and vREST, including assertions, collection management, environment configuration, regression execution, and defect analysis.
Experience testing healthcare interoperability solutions utilizing:
HL7v2
FHIR APIs
FHIR Subscriptions
SMART on FHIR
OAuth2/OIDC
JWT
Integration engines
Experience testing healthcare information system integrations involving scheduling workflows, provider workflows, patient workflows, encounter workflows, clinical data exchange, and interface validation.
Experience leading defect management activities and coordinating quality assurance efforts across multiple stakeholder groups.
