- Industry Leading Wage: $70.19 - $77.99/h
- Continuous Shift Premium: $3.50/h

Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail

Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment

Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs

Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily

Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)

Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team

Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required

Qualifications

Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification

Strong field troubleshooting skills on the Caterpillar mining product line required

Experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic

Valid class 5 driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract

Dedication to safety





Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal

Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset

Completion or be in the process of completing Finning S-level courses would also be considered an asset

Important Detail

This position will work a 14x14 continuous day/night shift , and will provide support to Suncor Base Mine Shop A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable

​You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted

Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement

Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
