Reporting to the Technical Field Services Client Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable to support project teams and field projects; ultimately providing exceptional client service through repair and maintenance of primary and secondary power equipment.
Accountabilities
Installation of Medium and High Voltage Stress Cones (cold and Heat Shrink) Ability to install splices on Medium and High Voltage Cables (up to 72kV) Repair, Terminate and troubleshoot low, medium and high voltage power cables Installations to include heat shrink and cold shrink Work safely and effectively on low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems in a variety of environments, including commercial, utilities, manufacturing, mining, pipeline and oil and gas Testing and diagnosis of cable health via DC,
VLF / Tan Delta and Partial Discharge Test methods Participate in training programs to progress your skillset as a world-class cable jointer on various types of cables with various jointing products/methods Confidently work with various brands of test and troubleshooting equipment Complete technical report writing Interact with clients in a courteous and professional manner Identify and implement process improvements Requirements 4 th year or Journeyman Electrician, Power Lineman, PSE (Power Systems Electrician) or Electrical Engineering Technologist Trade or tech school certification required Hands-on experience with electrical maintenance (low to high voltage power) is an asset Pfisterer termination experience is an asset Broad knowledge in commercial, industrial and utility environments Must have a valid drivers license Ability to self manage with proven initiative and client focus Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision The ability to travel to remote sites, work flexible shifts, which include weekends, evenings and statutory holidays The organization offers a comprehensive, highly competitive perks package to employees who work 20 hours per week or more.
