Residents and FamilyEnsures that residents are involved in appropriate recreation activitiesDirects and assists Recreation Therapy Aides with individual/group resident leisure pursuitsUtilizes methods of documentation including charting and assessmentsCommunicates information within the Recreation Therapy Department and Interdisciplinary Team Conferences regarding residents’ performance, progress and suitability in each programAssists in planning and coordinating of programs and resourcesWhat You Will NeedCompletion of Bachelor Degree or diploma in Recreation Therapy from a Canadian accredited School/UniversityEligible for registration with the Alberta Therapeutic Recreation AssociationPrevious Recreation Therapy experience in a health care facility preferred; experience in gerontology an assetProven experience preparing assessments and MDSCapable of functioning autonomously, independently and interdependentlyExcellent interpersonal skills interacting with residents, families and other staffIf you’re motivated by the privilege of serving our seniors with dignity, respect and compassion, come join us!#J-18808-Ljbffr
