Job Summary
We are seeking a agile and detail-oriented Instrumentation and Controls Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation systems and control equipment that ensure optimal plant operations. Your expertise will help us uphold safety standards, improve efficiency, and support continuous production processes.

Duties
- Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation devices including sensors, transducers, and control valves to ensure accurate data collection and process control.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and low voltage systems to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, AutoCAD drawings, and technical manuals for system installation and repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance on industrial equipment such as CNC machines, sensors, and electrical components to promote reliability and safety.
- Assist in the development of control system upgrades or modifications using PLC programming techniques to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement new instrumentation projects and improve existing systems based on operational feedback.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, system configurations, and repairs for compliance and future reference.
Qualifications
- 447A Red Seal Instrumentation and Controls Technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, low voltage electrical systems, and AutoCAD software.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices for electrical work in manufacturing settings.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members at all levels.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced workplace while managing multiple priorities effectively.
