Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Technician – Drumheller, ABControls Technician repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform other planned maintenance and corrective tasks on assigned electronic, electrical, pneumatic and/or mechanical control systems, devices, and ancillary equipment, operating and maintaining natural gas compression and auxiliary equipment.ResponsibilitiesPerform installation, testing, repair, and maintenance on compressor station equipment and other facilities related to the pipeline system.Conduct routine regular maintenance on gas turbine packages, gas compressor units and associated auxiliary equipment.Troolshut, test and maintain shutdown devices, fire & gas systems, auxiliary systems, HVAC systems, relief and over‑pressure protection devices, control valves, PLCs and control systems.Install and configure software in control systems.Perform emergency repairs to meet customer and client needs.Ensure facilities and personnel comply with TC Energy’s Community, Safety and Environment policies and procedures and accepted risk standards.Lead/manage the safe and efficient completion of low/medium complexity projects, coordinating and monitoring contractor or third‑party activities.Maintain core operational task qualifications, complete all administrative functions related to position and duties.Engage in training,



coaching and mentoring to develop trade skills.Minimum QualificationsJourneyman Electrician certification.Five years of related industry experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience with CMMS (e.G., Blueworx) and SAP.Previous experience with high‑pressure natural gas.Up‑to‑date with technological advances in the compression field and PLCs.Robust communication and teamwork skills and the ability to work across disciplines.Demonstrated commitment to continual learning, development, and adaptation to change.Ability to meet and maintain company‑defined operator qualifications and technical tasks.Other RequirementsValid driver’s license and submission of driver’s abstract.Completion of pre‑employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing.Willingness to travel for temporary assignments, meetings or training, including occasional overnight stays.Participation in on‑call rotation, overtime and emergency support as required.EEO StatementTC Energy is an equal opportunity employer and participates in the E‑Verify program supervised by the U.S. government.
