Full time permanent Science Intermediate/Secondary Classroom Teacher with other teaching duties position. Duties to commence September 8, 2026.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor of Education

- NL Teaching Certificate - Level IV or higher

- Appropriate Training Methods

- Major (10 courses) as noted above in the applicable subject area

- Equivalencies will be considered

Annual Teacher Salary Scale contained within the NLTA Provincial Collective Agreement and benefits contained within the agreement.

S ALARY AND INCENTIVES:

- Annual Teacher Salary Scale contained within the NLTA Provincial Collective Agreement and benefits contained within the agreement.

- Please note, the following incentives are PRO-RATED if work is less than the full contract or on periods of unpaid leave:

- A taxable 2550.00 Isolation Allowance contained within the NLTA Provincial Agreement for Island Schools paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please refer to Article 24 of the NLTA Collective Agreement.

For those that need to relocate to Remote Newfoundland Island Schools, a One Time Only Round Trip Travel Claim in and out of the school community to your home location during the first year, to a maximum of $1500.00. .One travel claim is paid upon arrival to the community through the travel claim system and the other paid at the end of the school year when you arrive home.

Applicants without the required qualifications may be considered in accordance with Clause 37.01 (d) of the provincial collective agreement.
