STL Engineering is looking to fill the position of Hardware Engineer. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical and electronic systems for a variety of cutting‑edge projects. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to create innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs. Responsibilities
- Create detailed designs for mechanical and electronic systems, including schematic diagrams, PCB layouts, and mechanical drawings.
- Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts and functionality.
- Integrate hardware and software components to ensure seamless operation of mechatronic systems.
- Conduct rigorous testing and debugging of hardware and software to identify and resolve issues.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to deliver high‑quality products on time and on budget.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for designs, including specifications, user manuals, and maintenance guides.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends to continually improve design processes and product quality.
Candidate Qualifications
- Successfully completed Electrical Engineering program, or a related field.
- Exposure to PCB design tools (e.g.,
Altium, Expedition), and embedded systems programming (e.g., C/C++, Python). Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) is a plus.
- Understanding of mechanical systems, electronics, control systems, and robotics.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Robust verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of design and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced team workplace.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
