Enhance health outcomes as an Audiologist at Inuvik Regional Hospital with the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority. This position combines clinical expertise with community engagement. As part of the NTHSSA, you will serve diverse populations in the Beaufort Delta and Sahtu regions.
Your responsibilities include assessing auditory impairments, designing culturally sensitive programs, and delivering education to families. This role also entails travel to remote regions, providing impactful healthcare. Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate auditory and cognitive development in patients
- Design programs that consider cultural sensitivities
- Travel occasionally for community outreach services
- Implement therapeutic care strategies for patient needs
- Provide education on self-care methods to patients Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Audiology mandatory
- Licensure within 6-8 months of hiring required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred
- Maintain ongoing certification with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada
