About the Role Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, this position provides oversight and leadership to the company’s financial controls including ICFR (internal control over financial reporting) process, operational accounting, and reinsurance reporting. It maintains and develops the financial control framework to ensure accuracy, reliability of financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, while also providing operational and reinsurance accounting technical support to internal business areas and outsourcing partners. Key Responsibilities Lead and enhance the ICFR program, including scoping, risk assessment, key control framework, and remediation oversight Coordinate execution of the ICFR program Manage internal and external audit coordination and priority setting Partner with stakeholders to deliver a robust control environment Oversee operational accounting and provide finance and accounting leadership to business owners Oversee reinsurance reporting and accounting coordination Manage monthly and quarterly deliverables Oversee account reconciliation process and reporting Lead projects and testing related to operational accounting Monitor accounting standards developments and lead implementation as required Coordinate quarter‑end deliverables from Finance, Actuarial, Corporate Tax, and Risk Management Conduct quarter‑end meetings with senior management Ensure CFO IFRS17 deliverables remain on track Manage resources and staff development, including coaching, mentoring and performance assessment Demonstrate robust leadership, teamwork,
