Keyholder / Winery Associate

We're looking for a dependable, customer-focused Keyholder / Winery Associate to join our team. This position is primarily part time, with the opportunity for full-time hoursAs a Keyholder, you'll play an important role in creating an exceptional guest experience while helping oversee the daily operations of the winery. The ideal candidate is reliable, personable, and comfortable working independently as well as with a team.

Responsibilities

- Open and close the winery, following established procedures.
- Welcome guests and provide exceptional customer service.
- Conduct wine tastings and educate guests about our wines and winery.
- Serve wine and food items in accordance with Smart Serve and winery policies.
- Process sales through the POS system and handle cash accurately.
- Restock merchandise and maintain an organized, clean, and inviting retail and tasting areas.
- Assist with inventory, merchandising, and general winery upkeep.
- Support special events and other winery operations as needed.
- Ensure a safe, professional, and enjoyable environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

- Must be dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Must be available to work weekdays and weekends
- Previous hospitality experience is required
- Serving experience is an asset.




- Wine knowledge and previous winery experience are strong assets.
- WSET or wine council certification (or equivalent) a strong asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and multitasking.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions while acting as a keyholder.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors (winter and summer patio)
- Must be Smart Serve certified
- Food Handlers certification an asset
