Position Summary:

Under the direction of Urban Family Services and the daily supervision of the KidsFirst Supervisor, the KidsFirst Home Visitor provides intensive in-home parenting and early childhood support to prenatal families and families with children from birth to age three. In accordance with the Provincial KidsFirst Initiative, the Home Visitor strengthens parental capacity by delivering evidence-informed parenting education, child development information, hands-on learning opportunities, and curriculum-based resources.

The Home

Visitor conducts family assessments, develops and implements individualized intervention plans within program guidelines, and provides referrals, advocacy, guidance, problem-solving, and ongoing support to promote healthy child development, positive parenting practices, and improved family functioning.
