Our multidisciplinary clinic has multiple private rooms, a dedicated gym area and an open rehab space. We have a large referral base from family medicine and allied health professionals throughout South Calgary and are always working on new partnerships. The clinic offers innovative programs such as GLA:D Back, GLA:D Hip & Knee as well as collaborative care with Physiotherapists, Physiatrists, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists and other disciplines all in-house!

Exceptional patient service, collaborative care and continued growth and improvement are highly valued at Momentum Health. We are presently seeking a Part-Time enthusiastic Kinesiologist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate must be able to commit to at least a one-year term.

Employment Type: Part-Time

Required Hours:

Position 1: Monday 7am-2pm, Wednesday 1:30pm-8pm, and Thursday 7am-1pm

Position 2: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 1:30pm-8pm, Wednesday 2pm-8pm, and potentially alternating Saturdays 8am-2pm

Start Date: As soon as possible

Compensation: $18-$20 per hour

Primary Responsibilities

· Prescription, application, supervision and education of patient’s Therapeutic Exercise Programs including: AROM, PROM, stretching, proprioception, coordination, balance and strengthening

· Assist Physiotherapy assessments and re-evaluations

· Learn and administer several hands-on treatment techniques including basic trigger point release, MRT, Instrumented Soft Tissue Release, Friction massage and hold relax stretching

· Application and removal of modalities including heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS, IFC, micro-current and Muscle Stimulation

· Assisting with clinic up-keep such as laundry, cleaning patient beds, filling ultrasound gel, and cleaning machines and tools

· Greet patients and ensure they have a comfortable experience in the clinic

Degree in Kinesiology

Excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology
