Join our team at Sushi MAHANA, an intimate Japanese restaurant in North Vancouver focused on authentic hospitality and high-quality dining.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant who takes pride in keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly. This role is essential to our team’s success.

Responsibilities

- Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout service
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized at all times
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors during and after service
- Take out garbage and recycling, and maintain a sanitary workspace
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation (washing, peeling, cutting, portioning ingredients)
- Prepare simple items following instructions
- Restock ingredients, containers, and kitchen supplies
- Help receive and organize deliveries
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards




- Support the team wherever needed to ensure smooth service

What We’re Looking For
- Hardworking, dependable, and willing to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
- Previous kitchen experience is an asset but not required

Schedule
- Evening shifts
- Tuesday to Saturday
- Part time with potential for additional hours
