Begonia Bakehouse is a French inspired artisan bakery. We are looking for an experienced part time Kitchen Helper who is independently motivated and can work as part of a team.

Hours are Thursday and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m. - noon. Each shift includes a paid break.

Good time management, organizational and communication skills are a must.

Overview The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operation of the bakery. You will contribute to the production of high-quality baked goods by being responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

- Washing dishes, pans and trays.
- Putting away dishes and ensuring everything is in the proper place.
- Inventory control and restocking items as they are delivered to the bakery.
- Assist with scaling, chopping, mixing, sandwich making and pan preparation.
- Assist with stamping bags and boxes.
- Assist with restocking items at the front counter when required.
- Follow food safety standards and guidelines during food preparation.
- Support the bakers in various tasks as needed.
- Operate equipment including; bread slicer and other kitchen appliances safely and efficiently.
- Assist with cleaning the bakery at the end of the day,



including sweeping floors, washing and sanitizing tables, mopping floors and other areas as required.

Skills

- Experience or willingness to learn in the food industry.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently and meet daily timelines.
- Excellent customer service abilities to interact with patrons and other staff members to meet deadlines.
- Basic math skills for measurements.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with food service operations.
- Ability to assist in food preparation task.

Education:

High school diploma.

Experience:

- Previous experience in a bakery setting would be preferred

Pay: $15.50-$17.00 per hour
