About the Role:

Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Operations: Oversee the daily operation of laboratory services, ensuring accurate testing, efficient workflows, and timely reporting of diagnostic results.
Quality Management: Maintain laboratory quality assurance and quality control programs while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, provincial regulations, and organizational policies.
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support laboratory technologists and support staff through scheduling,
performance management, coaching, and professional development.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to workplace safety requirements, infection prevention protocols, laboratory best practices, and applicable healthcare regulations.
Resource Coordination: Manage laboratory equipment, inventory, budgets, vendor relationships, and maintenance schedules to support uninterrupted laboratory operations.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with physicians, nursing teams, and other healthcare departments to improve service delivery and enhance patient outcomes.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting, including 1 to 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience, appropriate for a mid-level management role.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related healthcare discipline. Current professional certification and eligibility for provincial registration are considered strong assets.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead laboratory teams, improve operational efficiency, and foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of laboratory information systems, quality management principles, accreditation standards, diagnostic testing procedures, and regulatory compliance.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Pay: $5,699.00-$6,881.00 per month
