Salary
$62,567.75 – $72,654.85
Position Summary
This position is responsible for preparing legal and court-related documentation and assisting with trial matters. The incumbent works collaboratively with Society staff, legal counsel, court personnel, and community partners to support legal services activities in accordance with applicable legislation, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
College Diploma in a Law Clerk program, Paralegal program, or successful completion of the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario – Associate Level.
6+ months of related experience. Knowledge of legal processes related to child protection, family law, and litigation.
Demonstrated ability to draft motions, affidavits, briefs, and other court-related legal documentation.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information Candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background check before an offer of employment may be made. Proof of education is required.
This position is a temporary 6-month contract position.
