Role

Innovasea is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its HydroAI team. This role offers a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced workplace and is motivated to drive new business. You will own the full sales pipeline from prospecting through to close, while building relationships with hydropower utilities and conservation organizations across North America. You will collaborate daily with engineering and leadership to influence product strategy, represent Innovasea at industry events, and develop meaningful customer relationships, taking full ownership of advancing business development initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Own the full sales pipeline from prospecting to close and build relationships with hydropower utilities and conservation organizations across North America.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, field operations, and internal stakeholders to contribute to go-to-market strategy and translate customer feedback into actionable insights.




- Represent Innovasea at industry events and help shape product strategy through customer engagement.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and work as part of a tight-knit team to drive business development initiatives forward.

Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal skills, competitive drive, and a passion for prospecting new opportunities.
- Experience in hydropower or fish biology is an asset, but success is driven by personality, collaboration, and self-motivation.
- Ability to travel 30–40% across North America (based in Halifax).
