About the RoleJD Development Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Development / Planning Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of development applications and approvals, working closely with municipal authorities, consultants, and internal teams to move projects forward efficiently and on schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and track development applications including Official Plan Amendments (OPA), Zoning By-law Amendments (ZBA), Draft Plans of Subdivision, Site Plan Approvals (SPA), Committee of Adjustment applications (Minor Variance/Consent), Building Permits, and Condominium registrationsCoordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams, municipal authorities, utility providers, and internal teams to facilitate development approvals and meet project schedulesPrepare and assemble municipal submission packages for various planning and permit approvalsManage post-construction matters including on-site meetings, inspections with municipal staff and consultants, and release of securitiesMonitor consultant deliverables, project schedules, budgets, and submission deadlines to ensure timely completion of project objectivesLiaise with municipal planning staff regarding application status and requirementsReview agreements, planning reports, technical documents, and supporting studiesObtain and evaluate consultant proposals, scopes of work,
and fee budgetsAnalyze evolving planning policies, by-laws, and development regulations to identify potential project impacts and communicate implications to the internal teamMaintain project tracking systems, approval matrices, and critical path schedulesPrepare regular project status updates for senior managementAttend municipal meetings, public consultations, and consultant meetings as requiredQualificationsPost‑secondary degree or diploma in Architecture, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field3–4 years of experience supporting land development, planning, engineering, or construction projects (experience requirements may vary based on the level of the role)Solid knowledge of municipal approval processes, development applications, and permittingStrong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable liaising with internal teams, consultants, and government agencies (municipalities, regions, conservation authorities, etc.)Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and by‑lawsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCADis an assetHighly organized with strong attention to detailAble to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a quick‑paced environmentCompensation$70-80K annuallyGroup Insurance BenefitsRRSP MatchingWork Location5 days on siteVacancy StatusThis job posting is for an open vacancy.#J-18808-Ljbffr
