About the Role

Champions Gym is looking for a warm, energetic, and organized Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator to join The Champion Leadership Academy and preschool program team. In this role, you'll design and deliver engaging programming that blends physical activity, leadership skill-building, and age-appropriate child development practices, helping kids grow in confidence both on and off the mat.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and lead daily activities for the Leadership Academy and preschool program, balancing physical activity, structured play, and leadership-building exercises.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in care at all times.
- Create a positive, inclusive environment that supports each child's social, emotional, and physical development.
- Build strong relationships with children, communicating openly and respectfully with families about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with gym coaches and program staff to integrate age-appropriate fitness and self-defence concepts into programming.
- Manage behaviour using positive guidance strategies consistent with ECE best practices.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Ensure the program space is clean, organized,



and safety-compliant, including equipment checks.
- Support special events, camps, and seasonal programming as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certification (required).
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before start date).
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Experience working with school-age children (6–12 years) in a camp, or recreational setting is an asset.
- Strong communication, organization, and behaviour-management skills.
- Comfortable being active and hands-on in a gym workplace; interest in fitness, movement, or martial arts is a bonus.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small, energetic team.

Pay: $21.00-$34.00 per hour
