This position offers a competitive hourly rate of £18 and is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, from 08:00 to 16:30. The initial contract is for three months but there is the exciting possibility of extension.

What you will do:
- Provide chairside assistance during a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring seamless support for clinicians and a comfortable experience for patients
- Prepare and maintain the dental surgery, including setting up instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with clinical procedures and treatment plans
- Undertake decontamination and sterilisation of instruments,
ensuring full compliance with infection prevention and control standards
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records while safeguarding data protection and confidentiality
- Support patient care before, during, and after treatment by providing reassurance and clear communication to individuals of all ages and backgrounds
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- NEBDN Diploma in Dental Nursing or equivalent Level 3 qualification
- Valid certification in Dental Nursing recognised by the General Dental Council
Registration & Compliance:
- Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
- Knowledge of the Dentists Act 1984 and GDC Scope of Practice
- Understanding of infection control standards, safeguarding responsibilities, and GDPR requirements
- Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Experience:
- Previous experience working in an NHS or private dental practice
- Experience supporting a range of treatments including restorative, preventative, and minor oral surgery
- Familiarity with working in a regulated clinical environment and meeting audit/compliance standards
