Join Our Team as a Maintenance Co-op at Johnson Electric!Location: Ancaster, ON, Canada (onsite)Salary Range: $20-$23 per hourVacancy Type: Co-op PositionRelocation: Not ApplicableTravel: MinimalAs our next Maintenance Co-op, you'll be responsible for the duties and responsibilities of the Millwright Apprentice as listed, but not limited to the following; Note: The apprentice will always be working with and/or directed by a licensed journeyman and should never complete any work on his/her own, unless deemed capable by a qualified personnel and instructed to do so. The maintenance millwright apprentice reports to the maintenance manager.Why You’ll Love Working Here:Global Presence: Be part of a global company with diverse teams and the opportunity to work on international projects.Diverse Projects: Work on a variety of projects across different industries, gaining broad experience.Mentorship Opportunities: Access to mentorship programs that help you grow both personally and professionally.Innovation Hubs: Access to state-of-the-art facilities and innovation hubs that foster creativity and development.What You’ll Be Doing:Ensuring the adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001 all Johnson Electric policies and any other industry standards in all activitiesMaintain all production and facility equipment in good working condition to maximize production uptimeConduct regular inspections on all machinery for defects and potential problems in accordance with EPDA’s preventative maintenance program, repairing and replacing parts as required, in time allotment specifiedComplete work assignments as directed through assignment of work orders; ensure all work is completed thoroughly, safely and in a timely mannerAssists Journeyman with modifications and repairs to machinery and equipmentInstall new equipment coordinated with outside services, as requiredEstablish and maintain maintenance standards and develop and recommend maintenance programs.Notify appropriate personnel of stock deficiencies and tool/material requirementsObserve legislative standards for safe working conditions as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as rules and regulations outlined in the Employee HandbookSupport and maintain the department lean initiatives,



Assists with Continuous Improvement ProjectsMust maintain performance standards through duration of apprenticeship; poor performance may result in removal from the Apprenticeship programMust apply and write the Provincial examination within one (1) year of completion date of apprenticeshipPerforms any and all other assignments as directed by your Supervisor or Department managerCoordinate continuous improvement initiativesPerform other related duties as required.What We’re Looking For:Minimum grade 12 or equivalent required. Successful candidates must provide proof of Grade 12 (or GED) to Ministry of Training, colleges and Universities when signing up for the Apprenticeship.Must be committed to completing the formal schooling as part of a “Day Release” program and committed to the study and the testing required as part of the program certificationMust be committed to completing the 8000hrs of practical OJT training, as required for certificationRelated work experience and/or training in a machining environment (high volume automotive manufacturing environment would be viewed as an asset);

experience with CNC machines a definite assetAble to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organizationHigh level of integrity and dependability with a solid sense of urgency and results orientationStrong mathematical, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are required.Computer fundamentals an assetMust possess good communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust possess exceptional interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and be a team playerMust be flexible and willing to work any shifts or times (including weekends), as requiredMust be able to demonstrate good multi-tasking skills and deal with a rapidly changing work environmentMust adhere to all company policies,
