Overview

As a Tax Manager in our Domestic Tax team, you’ll work with a wide variety of clients and build your experience across new industries.

Responsibilities

- Coach and mentor a team of tax colleagues on compliance, helping them walk in clients' shoes by discussing tax planning options.
- Establish deep trusting relationships with clients while advising them on complex tax matters.
- Advise clients on reorganizations, rollovers, windups, amalgamations, provisions, estate and trust planning, and manage T1, T2, and T3 returns.
- Proactively resolve tax-related issues with clients, tax authorities, and other team members.
- Act as a leader in managing our growing tax practice, identifying and developing new opportunities for additional tax services.

Typical Day

You meet with the CFO of a client and the Assurance Partner to discuss the latest developments in the industry, mentor a new colleague, and respond to client requests. You then collaborate with your team to recap the day’s events.

Qualifications

- Enrolled in or have completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course,



or hold a Masters of Taxation degree.
- Demonstrated ability to present new ideas and conceptualize creative tax solutions for clients.
- Solid experience in corporate and personal Canadian tax compliance.
- Experience in mentoring and developing others.
