Reporting to the Executive Director, The Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and fundraising campaigns to support our programs and enhance our visibility in the community. This role requires creativity, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to our mission. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record in marketing and fundraising, particularly within the nonprofit sector.

Job Duties
Fundraising (60% of role)
Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns to generate financial support and raise awareness.
Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and corporate partners.
Write compelling grant proposals and reports to secure funding from foundations and government agencies.
Develop and maintain a donor database, tracking donations and managing donor communications.
Analyze fundraising results and provide regular reports to the leadership team.
Marketing (30% of role):
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to promote BGC Sarnia-Lambton and its programs.
Create engaging content for digital platforms, including social media, email newsletters, and the website.
Manage social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling,
and audience engagement.
Design and distribute promotional materials, such as flyers, brochures, and press releases.
Coordinate with media outlets to secure coverage and build relationships with journalists.
Additional Responsibilities (10% of role):
Collaborate with the leadership team to set strategic goals and objectives for marketing and fundraising efforts.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and fundraising activities, making recommendations for improvement.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to ensure innovative and effective approaches.
Represent BGC Sarnia-Lambton at community events, networking functions, and other public engagements.
Requirements
Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing and fundraising, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
Proven ability to create compelling marketing materials and successful fundraising campaigns.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems, and design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
