Position Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for efficiently picking, sorting, and distributing metal parts throughout the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that parts are organized and delivered to the appropriate locations such as welding, painting, and assembly in accordance with production schedules. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

- Accurately unload and sort metal parts based on project requirements
- Distribute parts to designated locations such as weld, paint, and assembly areas
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper documentation of part movements




- Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Identify and report discrepancies, missing parts, or damaged materials
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist in cycle counting and inventory management as required
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material flow and efficiency

Position Qualifications

- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
- Familiarity with material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification is an asset)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, pick lists, and production schedules
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
