Duties

- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer specifications and safety guidelines
- Maintain proper food handling procedures to ensure freshness and safety of all meat products
- Package meat products efficiently for retail display or customer take-away, ensuring attractive presentation
- Adhere strictly to food safety standards and sanitation protocols throughout all stages of food preparation
- Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about cuts and cooking methods, and provide exceptional customer service
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations by regularly sanitizing tools and surfaces




- Support inventory management by rotating stock, restocking displays, and notifying management of low supplies

Qualifications

- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat cutting, is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and meat handling procedures
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to operate knives and other butchery tools safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, qualified attitude
- Kitchen experience or related culinary background is a plus
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy packages as needed
