Help create positive change as an Outreach Mental Health Worker for MPA Society in Vancouver. This role focuses on supporting individuals with mental health and addictions issues in the community. As an Outreach Mental Health Worker, you will provide essential assistance to clients facing chronic homelessness and mental health challenges. This ongoing casual position features an 11-hour work schedule on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Your responsibilities include conducting client intakes, participating in case management, and advocating for support services. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct participant intakes and eligibility assessments
- Engage in case management and planning with clients
- Participate in social activities at the MPA Resource Centre
- Advocate for clients facing landlord-tenant disputes
- Accompany clients to significant appointments Requirements:
- Two years post-secondary education in mental health
- Two years related experience with a mental health agency
- Current First Aid, CPR, and NVCI certification
- Class 5 unrestricted British Columbia Driver License
- Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation services Support the dignity and well-being of clients as part of MPA Society in Vancouver.
