You will report to the Senior Manager of Newcomer Services and work 35 hours weekly, delivering high-quality counselling to refugees and immigrants.
Your role encompasses crisis interventions, wellness checks, and holistic care coordination to promote mental wellness for clients from diverse backgrounds. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client intake, wellness checks, and risk assessments
- Coordinate care plans with caseworkers and community partners
- Provide intervention support through active listening and validating feelings
- Organize information sessions on trauma and mental health
- Ensure precise documentation of client case notes and follow-ups Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field
- Minimum 2 years in counselling or crisis support
- Registered with CCPA or similar regulatory body
- Knowledge of community mental health resources
