Empower individuals in crisis as an MHSU Access & Crisis Response Counsellor in Victoria. This role supports mental health through immediate intervention and collaboration with community resources. Positioned at The Harbour Safe Consumption Site, you will play a vital role in addressing mental health and addiction issues by providing assessment and stabilization services.
Candidates need a Baccalaureate Degree and two years of relevant crisis intervention experience. Your critical judgment and interpersonal skills will aid in managing client assessments and planning effective service strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Offer urgent clinical responses to at-risk clients
- Conduct risk assessments and create stabilization plans
- Engage in collaborative service planning with a multidisciplinary team
- Provide harm reduction services and community liaison
- Document client information accurately Requirements:
- Baccalaureate Degree in a health-related field
- Minimum of two years of crisis intervention experience
- Familiarity with mental health legislation
- Valid BC Driver's License for operational needs
