Position Summary

Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer, Saskatoon Office. Work with experienced engineers and collaborate across multiple teams on exciting projects.

Your Main Responsibilities

- Lead and support the development of junior team members through mentorship and guidance
- Organize, plan, and carry out geotechnical field investigations
- Complete geotechnical calculations and analyses across a variety of project types
- Conduct geohazard assessments and develop appropriate engineering designs
- Perform analysis and design work related to earthen dam structures, municipal and commercial infrastructures
- Install, monitor, and interpret data from geotechnical instrumentation
- Carry out construction inspections related to foundations, earthworks, and similar activities
- Prepare clear and comprehensive technical reports
- Communicate project progress to project managers
- Contribute to proposal preparation and support business development efforts

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering
- Eligibility for registration with APEGS




- Master’s degree is considered an advantage, but not mandatory
- Approximately 5 or more years of applicable professional experience
- Experience in water structure design or foundation analysis and design is advantageous
- Experience coordinating geotechnical investigations is considered an asset
- Strong self‑starter with effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated problem‑solving capabilities
- Capable of working independently with limited supervision
- Familiarity with geohazard assessments and/or dam projects is an asset
- Willingness and ability to travel and work in remote locations under varying weather conditions, when required
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
