Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) / Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)

Annex Montessori School is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dependable Early Childhood Assistant (ECA), Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), or experienced childcare professional to join our team.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and is committed to creating a nurturing, respectful, and engaging learning setting. Montessori experience is considered a strong asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate who shares our philosophy and values.

Qualifications

- ECA or RECE (or equivalent childcare experience)
- Montessori experience is an asset
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

Responsibilities

- Support the lead teacher in implementing a Montessori learning environment
- Foster children's independence, confidence, and love of learning
- Supervise children while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being
- Assist with classroom preparation, cleaning, and organization
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Follow all licensing requirements and school policies
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive teaching team
