National Director of Business Development Full Time Edmonton, AB, CA
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the business development strategy aligned with long-term growth objectives
Lead the end‑to‑end lead strategy across all variable operations, optimizing performance across OEM, third‑party, paid, and organic sources
Improve lead generation funnels to enhance quality, conversion, and speed‑to‑contact
Ensure strong alignment across Marketing, BDC, and Dealership Operations on lead management processes and execution
Own and optimize the CRM platform (CDK), including structure, workflows, templates, and automation (phone, email, SMS)
Establish and enforce best‑in‑class CRM utilization and lead management standards across all locations
Bridge BDC and showroom operations to ensure seamless customer handoffs and consistent in‑store execution
Provide on‑site dealership support to reinforce standards, improve execution, and elevate the customer experience
Design and lead training, coaching, and performance programs for BDC and sales teams, including audits and workshops
Define and track KPIs across lead generation, conversion, CRM compliance, and digital vs. in‑store performance
Build dashboards and reporting to provide visibility into lead and sales pipeline health
Conduct regular performance reviews with store leadership and drive continuous, data‑driven improvement across the network
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive leadership experience in automotive retail is required
3+ years of experience working with a BDC, digital strategy, or business development
Proven success leading multi‑location operations or dealer group performance initiatives
Deep expertise in CRM systems (CDK, VinSolutions, Elead) and digital lead management
Strong understanding of BDC operations, dealership sales processes, and customer journey optimization
Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution and measurable results
Exceptional leadership, coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
Data‑driven mindset with advanced analytical capabilities
