The QEII Health Sciences Centre is the largest tertiary care group of teaching hospitals in Atlantic Canada and part of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. It is the only center providing endovascular stroke treatment in Nova Scotia and PEI and the core adult clinical teaching facility for Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Medicine.

There are active residency programs in Diagnostic Radiology, Neuroradiology and Nuclear Medicine. There is a well-developed research infrastructure with opportunities to promote academic achievement. Halifax is the growing capital city of Nova Scotia in Canada’s Maritime provinces.
