Day-to-day tasks include installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and industrial locks, door hardware, and security systems. The locksmith will perform service calls for open ups and lock outs, assess and upgrade perimeter security hardware, and work with restricted high-security lock cylinders. Responsibilities also include installing and servicing automatic door operators, assisting with door and window replacements, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. The role involves interacting with clients on-site, providing qualified recommendations, documenting work performed,



and collaborating with the team to complete projects efficiently.QualificationsLicensed locksmith with demonstrated experience in commercial and industrial locksmith services, including installation and repair of locks and door hardware.Hands‑on skills working with perimeter security hardware upgrades, restricted high‑security lock cylinders, and automatic door operators.Ability to perform open ups and lock outs safely and efficiently, with strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilities.Experience with door and window replacements, including heavy‑duty commercial‑grade door and frame installations.Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and provide professional security recommendations.Capacity to work independently on‑site, manage time effectively, and complete service calls and projects with minimal supervision.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for travel to client locations within Greater Edmonton and surrounding areas.Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices for commercial and industrial security.Physical ability to lift and handle doors, hardware, and tools, and to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.Completion of locksmith training, apprenticeship, or certification program; additional security or access control experience is an asset.#J-18808-Ljbffr
