Job Purpose The Numeracy Coordinator provides leadership and support for all students In numeracy programming across the Enoch Cree Nation Education Department The role focuses on strengthening Instructional practice, supporting data-informed decision making, coordinating Interventions, coaching staff, and improving student achievement in mathematics.

Coordinator will be part of a multidisciplinary Inclusive Education Team.
The Numeracy
Coordinator works collaboratively with teachers, program management. families, and community partners to develop culturally responsive numeracy Instruction that supports all learners. This role supports inclusive educational practices that reflect the Cree principal of wahkohtowin, emphasizing relationships, respect, and shared responsibility to support student success. Education, Experience And Requirements Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent.
Valid Alberta
Interim or Permanent Professional Teaching Certificate (minimum requirement).
Teachers must provide a copy of their most recent Alberta Teaching Quality Standard Evaluation (TQS).
A clear Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerability Sector and Child Welfare Intervention Check is required.
Alberta Leadership Quality Standard (LQS).
Experience working with Indigenous students and communities.
Experience integrating Indigenous perspectives and Cree-based learning
Minimum five years of teaching experience in a K–12 educational setting.
Demonstrate experience implementing the Alberta Education mathematics curriculum and outcomes.
Experience using assessment data to inform instruction and support student achievement.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff to support student success.
Experience supporting diverse learners through differentiated instruction and intervention strategies.
Experience developing IPP goals or individualized learning strategies
Graduate-level education, coursework or training in mathematics, educational leadership or a related field.
Demonstrated expertise in mathematics instruction and intervention.
Experience providing instructional coaching or mentorship to teachers.
Experience facilitating skilled learning communities (PLCs).
Experience in analyzing assessment and achievement data.
Experience coordinating intervention programs and monitoring student progress.
Experience leading school improvement initiatives.
Experience working with Indigenous students and communities.
Working Conditions Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Required to work a total of 40 hours per week
10-month-based employee, with summers off per the annual operational calendar.
Required to volunteer 100 hours per school year
May require occasional lifting of light office supplies and equipment.
This position may require travel to various locations for meetings and events.
Participation in cultural activities, school events, and community engagement opportunities may be required.
Must sign and adhere to the Enoch Cree Nation Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.
