The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installation, maintaining, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities. The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required, as well as be able to travel outside Alberta to the Northern Territories. Tools, uniforms, PPE, work cellphone, and a company vehicle will be provided for work duties.ResponsibilitiesComplete timely inspections,



testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficienciesStrong background in constructionEnsure all installations comply with electrical codes and safety standardsInstall electrical wiring, conduit, cable trays, panels, transformers, motors, and electrical equipmentAssist with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projectsEnsure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codesOther duties as assignedQualificationsJourneyman Certified Electrician (Red Seal) with a minimum of 2 years’ experienceStrong commercial and residential experienceClass 5 license and clean driver’s abstract requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsAble to read drawings and schematicsAbility to build and work in a team setting; strong commitmentto personal and team safetyThis position has been identified as safety sensitive and will require completion of a pre‑employment alcohol & drug test, fit to work medical test, background check, and security clearance#J-18808-Ljbffr
