As a team we collaborate to solve problems, contribute ideas and challenge each other to ensure growth and ultimately success for the business and our employees.Job Description And ResponsibilitiesJoin Interpro Pipe & Steel in Red Deer as a Yard Supervisor where you will assist the General Supervisor in coordinating the outgoing and incoming shipping activities and the timely delivery of materials, as well as supervise a team of shipping and yard crew.Schedule shipments, coordinate with carriers, oversee the loading and unloading of trucks and verify shipping accuracy and documentsSupervise and train staff. Provide or arrange ongoing training for employees to ensure employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectivelySafety and Quality compliance. Responsible for enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and conducting regular safety meetingsCreate work schedules that align with product shipment demands while considering employee availability, labour laws and CBA complianceMaintain communication between departmentsEngage employees in continuous improvement to identify and eliminate waste, and to enhance efficiency and productivityWork with external transportation companies &/or external service providersReceiving, shipping,



handling and storage of coil and pipe inventoryMaintaining inventory controls for accuracy – pipe and coilAll other duties as required or assignedRequirementsDiploma or high school graduate or GED equivalent5 years of relevant experienceMinimum 2 years’ experience in an industrial environmentMinimum 2 years’ supervisory experienceDemonstrated leadership skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsGood organizational and coordinating abilities.
