Enhance the lives of clients at Fraser Hope Lodge in Hope, B.C. with this full time Recreation Therapist role. Create meaningful recreational experiences that address physical, emotional, and cognitive needs.
As a key member of the therapy team, you will plan, promote, and oversee a variety of recreation programs designed for residents and clients. This role includes supervising activity workers, conducting assessments, and actively engaging with external community partners to enrich the programming landscape. You will ensure that all logistical requirements are met to create best-in-class services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and assess recreational programs tailored to residents
• Organize logistical needs for successful program delivery




• Supervise and provide guidance to staff and volunteers
• Engage clients in recreational outings and activities
• Enhance team education and monitor performance evaluations
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy
• Three years of relevant experience in Geriatrics
• Membership eligibility with BCTRA
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification required
• Valid Class 4 BC Driver's Licence
