New Horizon Co-op is hiring a Part-time Pharmacy Assistant at our Trader Ridge Food Store in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Maintain record-keeping requirements and protocols in accordance with the Alberta College of Pharmacy and Health Canada

Maintain proper drug storage and security

Familiarity with third party adjudication and related problem-solving abilities

Answering questions from patients that are within the scope of a pharmacy assistant and escalating questions to qualified team members when appropriate

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals where appropriate

Prescription and OTC inventory management including daily drug orders through preferred supplier(s)

Efficient preparation of prescription products (counting, packaging, labeling etc.)

Duties related to prescription drop-off and pick-up (i.e. cash register)



and managing prescription delivery services

Respect and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Who you are: Minimum of 1 year experience in a retail pharmacy environment is preferred

Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of the pharmacy team

Qualified & caring attitude and attention to detail

Provide excellent customer experience

College diploma in Pharmacy Assistant program or certificate in related field is an asset
