Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.
- Take digital X-rays, ensuring accurate diagnostics and patient comfort.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies.
- Assist with patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and updating dental records using Tracker practice management software.
- Support the dental team during procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient safety.
- Manage appointment scheduling,
patient follow-ups, and treatment plan explanations to enhance the patient experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized operatories and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid licenence as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).
- Valuable standing with CDHO
- Proven experience in dental hygiene.
- Proficiency with Tracker or similar dental practice management software.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and patient health records.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Previous dental assisting or office experience is advantageous for supporting team operations.
