Contribute to pediatric mental health with MHSU as a Pediatric Psychiatric Emergency Clinician. Provide critical evaluations and interventions in emergency healthcare settings. In this role, you will perform psychiatric assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage the care of pediatric patients experiencing mental health crises.
The Pediatric Psychiatric Emergency
Clinician will develop care plans, advocate for patients, and provide short-term follow-up to ensure continuity of care post-Emergency Department visits. Your skills will directly impact the treatment journey of children and adolescents in crisis. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments
- Formulate detailed treatment and care plans
- Engage in crisis intervention and counselling
- Liaise with various community service providers
- Document patient interactions and treatment outcomes Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or similar
- Two years of experience in child and adolescent mental health
- Registration eligibility with a qualified body
- Creditable BC Driver’s License and reliable transportation
