Typical Responsibilities

- Prepare fresh meals in clients' homes
- Complete weekly meal preparation for individuals and families
- Cook lunches, dinners, or meals for small gatherings
- Follow recipes and accommodate dietary preferences or restrictions
- Wash, chop, and prepare ingredients
- Help organize kitchens and clean cooking areas after use
- Assist with grocery shopping when requested
- Maintain safe food handling and cleanliness throughout each job

Qualifications

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Comfortable preparing meals in clients' homes
- Knowledge of basic food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Dependable, organized, and professional
- Able to communicate clearly with customers
- Previous cooking, catering, hospitality, or meal preparation experience is an advantage but not required

Compensation Pay depends on the type of cooking service, number of meals prepared, and overall scope of the request. Many meal preparation opportunities offer earnings between $20 and $60+ per hour.
