Responsibilities

- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
- Reminders for medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols to ensure proper treatment adherence
- Assist with light meal preparation as per individual dietary needs and preferences, fostering healthy eating habits
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space to ensure a safe environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and encourage social engagement
- Monitor clients’ health status,



report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members
- Follow care plans meticulously while adhering to all safety standards and privacy regulations

Qualifications

- Prior experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is highly desirable
- Proven experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities, including those with dementia or cognitive impairments
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Robust caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker or equivalent is preferred
- Valid Standard First Aid and Current CPR
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check
- Updated TB Test (last 12 months)
- Proof of eligibility to work in canada.
