As a key member of the City of Thunder Bay's building services team, you will leverage your knowledge of the Ontario Building Code while reviewing permit applications and providing clarity to applicants.

This role requires attention to detail as you ensure applications meet all regulatory standards and assist in the issuance of permits. You will also help maintain databases and ensure consistent communication within the development community. Key Responsibilities:

- Review building plans against Ontario Building Code requirements
- Evaluate permit applications for zoning compliance




- Issue permits or communicate non-issuance reasons
- Conduct necessary building inspections when required
- Provide technical guidance to homeowners and contractors Requirements:
- Diploma in architectural technology or related field
- Minimum three years’ experience in building design
- Successful completion of related Ministry examinations
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and permit processes
